Tomatoes paste is made by concentrating pure tomato juice
after the seeds and skin have been removed out of sound, fully ripe
tomato. The juice is passed through 0.7mm sieve and concentrated by
evaporation of water from juice under vacuum. This process ensures that
all the original color, flavor and nutritive value of the tomatoes are
retained.
This is the general specification for hot break and cold break tomato
paste in 220L packing. The tomatoes will be produced from sound ripe
tomatoes of selected by hands, washed and color sorted, free of mould
rot and foreign matter. Tomato will be pulped and heat treated to
control pectin content. The product will be processed into diced or
pulp, to reach the required brix.
